The organisation that governs boxing (or olympic style boxing) for men and women in South Africa. SASCOC is affiliated to the IBA, along with the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC). SANABO is also affiliated to South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee. It organises national competitions such as the SANABO Elite National Championships and the SANABO Boxing League.

Main object is to promote and develop high performance sport in the Republic of South Africa as well as and to act as the controlling body for the preparation and delivery of Team South Africa at all multi sport international games including but not limited to the Olympics, Paralympics, Commonwealth Games, World Games and All Africa Games.

First build up an amateur record to gain experience. For that you must find a boxing club or gym.
- The club must be affiliated with the proper bodies in order for you to build up your record
- The club must be near your location an accessible
- The club must have a supportive and friendly atmosphere
- The trainers must be willing to welcome boxers of all levels
- The coach must be a person with boxing knowledge, passion and abilty to train people
- The program must be progressive
- Training times must fit your training schedule
- You must be able to participate in boxing tournaments

- Contact the secretary of your Province or District
- Set up a contitution
- Obtain the forms to register the club and coaches and email it to the secretary
- Sign the code of conduct
- Pay the yearly registration
- Your club must be approved by the Province or District
